Description:

The catchment of Sg. Aur has a total area of about 3,978 ha with 5 tidal gates along Sg. Aur which discharges into the sea. The catchment is highly developed and comprised chiefly of residential with some commercial land use. The port area at the coastal area is located near the Sg. Aur’s estuary within the sea. The flooded area is found in this port area as well as the area further inland where housing development is massive. The main objective of this project is to plan and design for flood mitigation works at Sg. Aur so that the flooding issues can be solved.
