Description:
Rubber is the second most important crop in Kedah (142.955 hectares) in 2011 and the state produces 229,000 tonnes of rubber in the same year.
Rubber is also the majority of crops grown around Padang Terap. Songkhla provinces in Thailand also produces 332,000 tonnes getahpada 2011.
Therefore, the Rubber City project is expected to attract many investors from manufacturing rubber products since its close proximity to the source of rubber.
